Sony Ericsson w995 is one of the best models from Sony having capabilities which are similar to Sony cyber shot. This phone is perfect for the music lovers and for the people who love photography.
Some important features of Sony w995 are:-
1)8 mega pixels camera that includes flash, face detection and autofocus
2) The phone includes GPS, Wi-Fi, Google maps, you tube and motion games.
3) Sony Ericsson w995 is available in 3 different colours a) red b) black c) silver
4) The phone has a TFT display and supports a resolution up to 240x320 pixels.
5) The phone has an accelerometer which automatically rotates the screen mode, so you don’t have to manually change screen from landscape to portrait mode.
6) The phone comes with a 118 MB of inbuilt memory which can be expanded up to 16 GB.
The phone is very well designed, easy to use and comes with a straight forward slide. The phone is convenient for the people who send lots of messages as the phone is easy to hold. This phone is not for the people who want slim phone as the lower half of the phone is bulky.
Music player of this phone includes several features like creation of playlist depending on the mood and tempo, shake control, album art, equalizer and shuffle. The song and the station that you are listening can easily be displayed as the phone FM radio comes with RDS.
The latest clear boss and clear stereo makes listening to music a pleasure for the phone users.
In conclusion I would like to say that Sony Ericsson w995 offer value for money and is an excellent phone so I recommend you to buy this phone.

Review of the Samsung S5600 Preston

If you though that Tocco Lite is one of the best models from Samsung then you are not entirely wrong. The Samsung S5600 Preston model from Samsung is an expensive imitation of the Tocco Lite. The model has been launched as an upgrade of the Tocco Lite and has all the features which Tocco Lite has. Apart from having all the features of Tocco Lite the phone also has GPS, 3G HSDPA and an improved camera when compared to the Tocco Lite. The model is available in two colour variants white and black.

The phone which was launched in May this year has many features of both Samsung i8910 and the Tocco Lite. You must be aware that Tocco Lite is one of the highest selling model of the company and the S5600 Preston has been brought out to capture on the popularity of the Tocco Lite. When compared to the Tocco Lite the screen size of S5600 Preston is smaller which is a negative. The camera of the S5600 Preston comes with a flash and is video calling enabled. It includes some features of the Tocco Lite such as the music player and FM radio.

The phone is so similar to the Tocco Lite model that it becomes difficult to differentiate between the phones. The S5600 Peterson has an 80 MB of inbuilt memory which can be extended up to 2 GB. The phone weighs a mere 92 grams but has a low battery life of just 3 hours.

If you are tired of your Tocco Lite model buy this phone and be happy, as you have paid more to get a similar phone. For smart people I would suggest you search for some other model or buy a new Tocco Lite.

Nokia launches Firmware v.30.0.019 for n82?

P@sco from Jaspp.net is reporting that new Nokia N82 version 30.0.019 firmware is available on Nokia Software Updater. I haven't got a chance to check yet since I'm at work, but I hope to tonight (if my Windows partition is working).

Right now there is no official changelog, but I suspect it will be similar to the recent Nokia N95 8gb firmware update. What changes did that consist of? According to All About Symbian v.30 firmware of the N95 8gb changes include...

- Nokia Maps 2.0 now built-in
- Full N-Gage client now built-in
- Nokia Search 4.0 now with Google plug-in
- Share online 3.0
- Enablers for Comes With Music (watch this space)
- Download! application updated (v 3.1.50)
- Upgrade to Music Player, with new visualisations
- Update for Flash Lite 3 (improved viewing of sites like YouTube)
- Current consumption improvements (for e.g. WLAN scanning)
- New baseline for VoIP (with significant error corrections)
- Incoming call number is displayed in additon to name of the contact
- Realplayer supports FLV format (i.e FLV files can be played directly like MP4)

No word on the bug fixes.

Warning!!!
My pal Ricky from Symbian-Guru is trying to update his firmware and he says his phone is now bricked. He's just getting a white screen. Keep checking his site to see if he can fix the problem. He says the update is available for EURO 1 product code 0558752. Another update! Dr. Tran (Al) from The Nokia Blog has also informed me that his phone is bricked after trying to update. I would give it a week or so before trying this. Update again! Dr. Tran tried it again and now he got his phone back.

I recently posted an article for you guys if you remember asking what needs to be fixed in the new firmware. See the posts here and here.

If any of you can check it out and report back any changes that would be awesome. The main thing I'm hoping for is improved battery life. I'm really getting tired of conserving battery life at 5pm or my battery will die. I'm pretty sure this update isn't available for all product codes yet, I would give it 3-4 days before it's fully available.
